Gatti's Waiter 2 was Gatti's Waiter on RMS Titanic.
Biography[]
He and the other waiters have their first appearance in Episode 3 where they are trying to talk with Sixth Officer Moody in their native language. Moody sees Bruce Ismay and asks him what should be done about the Italians, Ismay being a racist orders Moody to keep them from getting on deck and scaring the female passengers.
Later on, they are locked below decks (possible by seamen). We learn this from Moody's conversation with Steward Turnbull who orders Turnbull to let them out when the order is given. Mario soon finds himself locked in the room with the Italian waiters by Seaman Bradley and Seaman Scarrott after standing up against Turnbull for locking the Steerage passengers below decks.
His brother Paolo finds them after confronting Turnbull who hadn't let the Italians out, but Paolo cannot open the door since it is locked and calls out for help. Then he hears Peter Lubov calling out for Theresa Maloney and begs him to help. After using a piece of wire that he used to open a locked box for Mabel Watson, Peter realizes the pressure is keeping the door locked and Paolo tells them to push against the door. Mario and the waiters push against the door and it opens. The waiters flee up the stairs and drown in the open water following the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
